The ASU Department of Physics faculty members are committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching. Many have been
nationally recognized for their accomplishments through induction into notable science organizations and publication in the
world’s leading scientific journals. They have successfully led research efforts that have positioned Arizona State
University among the premier institutions for electron diffraction physics and high resolution electron microscopy. Our faculty
also are the driving force behind innovative research in biological physics, condensed matter and materials physics, and
subatomic physics in addition to nationally recognized efforts in science education.
