Special relativity and introductory quantum theory with applications drawn from atomic, nuclear, and solid-state physics.

PHY 420 Research Paper
(1 credit/unit)
Offered in fall and spring
Scientific report writing. Culminates in a paper based on library or lab research or both. Taken in conjunction with other courses as approved. Conference.
Prerequisite: Instructor approval. Only available to Physics minors and majors. General Studies: L (if credit also earned in PHY 334)
