Thank you for your interest in the graduate programs in the Department of Physics at Arizona State University. We have a range of program options, which are listed under Degree Programs.
Our programs are flexible to allow a customized selection of courses that suit each student's interests. Research rotations are required in the first two semesters, to help students explore their research interests and to get started with a faculty mentor. Research in the department features cutting-edge efforts in the four main areas of physics:

- Nanoscale and Materials Physics
- Electron Diffraction and Imaging
- Cosmology, Particle Physics & Astrophysics
