Fluorescence Fluctuation Spectroscopy has recently emerged as a powerful technique to study conformational dynamics in biopolymer samples containing a small number of molecules. This is achieved by quantifying the fluorescence fluctuations of a sample containing a donor-acceptor pair.
During the course of the project, the student will acquire experience working with lasers, optical components and biological material, and will learn about fluorescence spectroscopy and fluctuation techniques.
